Doron Schleifer

Kontratenor. Już w wieku pięciu lat występował jako solista w synagodze Hebrew Union College w Jerozolimie, gdzie jego ojciec, Eliyahu Schleifer, pełnił funkcję kantora. Ukończył studia magisterskie w Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Doron regularnie występuje jako solista i śpiewak zespołowy z takimi zespołami jak La Morra, La Cetra oraz Profeti della Quinta. Od 2017 roku co roku prowadzi zajęcia w ramach Early Music Village (Nagano, Japonia). Działalność wokalną łączy z pracą dyrygenta oraz kierownika chóru synagogi w Bazylei. Chór głównej synagogi w Bazylei może poszczycić się ponad 80-letnią historią, która – jako jedyna w Europie – nie została przerwana przez Holokaust.

Doron Schleifer

Countertenor. He began singing as a soloist at the age of five in the synagogue of the Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem, where his father, Eliyahu Schleifer, served as cantor. He completed his Master’s degree at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Doron performs regularly as a soloist and ensemble singer with groups such as La Morra, La Cetra, and Profeti della Quinta. Since 2017, he has taught annually at the Early Music Village in Nagano, Japan. Alongside his singing career, he is also active as a conductor and serves as the director of the Basel Synagogue Choir. The choir of Basel’s main synagogue has a history spanning over 80 years and is the only such ensemble in Europe whose activity was not interrupted by the Holocaust.
